NASHVILLE, Tenn. (August 25, 2023) – Country newcomer Ashley Ryan ushers in some early fall feels with her bluesy power ballad “Yours,” out today and available on all digital platforms. The drifty production dances around the song’s key message of realizing your worth – after years of being in a bad relationship – and opting out of a toxic situation. The tune premiered exclusively with Holler yesterday (8/24), who called it (XXX).
“Sometimes, when you’re in an unhealthy relationship, it’s hard to see the red flags that everyone around you is seeing,” Ryan told Holler. “And when you do, it’s not always easy to move on. This is a song about a woman who finally musters up the strength to leave the guy that doesn’t appreciate her or know her worth.”
The song is Ryan’s fourth release since signing in December of 2022 with Spinville Entertainment, and follows “full-fledged barn-burner” (Billboard) “Too Far Gone,” “certified country sass” (The Boot) “One Tractor Mind,” and viral sensation “Hush Little Baby,” which has over 10 million collective streams and over 20 million collective video views since its release earlier this year. Ryan most recently released an acoustic version of “Hush Little Baby,” praised by All Country News for its “southern gothic feel and classic bluegrass instrumentation” and “haunting conviction.”

About Ashley Ryan:
With an “abundance of firepower” (Billboard), the Corona, California native is taking Nashville’s music scene by storm. An early penchant for poetry led to a natural progression into songwriting at 16, when her grandfather gifted her her first guitar. “I didn’t have anyone to sing my songs, so I started singing them myself, and it just seemed to work.” Shortly after discovering her vocal talents, and after giving college a try in her home state, she ventured east to Nashville to continue her journey (and college at Belmont University) in country music’s capital.
Shortly after the move to Music City, her musical talents were recognized by 4x GRAMMY® Award-winning country star Keith Urban at a private event. A quick dialogue between the two led to an impromptu duet of Keith’s hit song “Without You” – ultimately leading to an invitation to perform the duet again at Urban’s sold-out show at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.
Capturing emotions from heartbreak to honkytonk, Ashley’s music provides listeners with an energy and authenticity that gives listeners a classic country tune with a modernized twist. “I grew up singing ‘Before He Cheats’ and ‘Gunpowder and Lead.’ I really love fiddle in a song – I love that old traditional country, the grungy female country with the sassy drop D guitar and rolling banjo. So that’s what you’ll get from me.”
